NEURO – refers
to our nervous system, the mental pathways of our five senses
LINGUISTIC – refers to our language and how specific words or phrases mirror
our mental world.
It also refers to our ‘silent language’ of postures, gestures and
habits that reveal our thinking styles and beliefs that we use to communicate.
PROGRAMMING – is how we habitually ‘programme’ our thoughts,
feelings and actions. These can be changed or ‘upgraded’ to enhance our performance
in whatever we do
NLP allows us to examine our own patterns of behaviour and develop effective
strategies to obtain and maintain a resourceful state in any given situation
so that our desired outcome can be achieved.
Internally within the organisation, NLP can be very successful in building teamwork,
better communication, addressing change and solving problems.
Externally, NLP can improve management, selling and negotiation skills and build
a greater degree of rapport with customers, therefore leading to better customer
relationship management, ultimately leading to loyal customers.
NLP enables us to develop personal skills and behaviours that include self-awareness,
rapport, influence, persuasion, leadership and innovative thinking. NLP is
also an excellent coaching and mentoring tool, whether on a one-to-one or group
basis.
